What is the right of second wife in ancestral property. How ancestral land will be divided among her and first wife? Say if partition took place in 1980's also has this changed now? This is for hindu family. This is for state Bihar

First tell the date of second marriage?

Sir,This will be fresh question. It should have happened in end of 1950's.

So both the marriages are valid.

But to decide other aspects of the query you need to tell the following facts :

In which year the husband died?

Was he survived by only these two widows on his death without any children,male or female?

Who was the original owner of the property husband left on his death?

Was the husband survived by brothers also?

If the second marriage was performed during the subsistence of the first marriage then second widow shall nto be entitled for the grant of any share in the ancestral property.
