dear sir,
we are buying a home at koper khairne ,navi mumbai.this flat we are buying from owner and they had purchased their flat from society. scoiety purchased plot/land from cidco and society they construct building on that flat.
we are now buying the flat from owner and we asked the owner that have they paid stap duty to cidco? but they dont have that document and they are telling that stamp duty is paid by society because it is society plot.
we just want to know is this correct what owner is telling that stmp duty paid by society not by us,
please help me.

society pays stamp duty for obtaining deed of conveyance from CIDCO . individual flat owners have to pay stamp duty on purchase price of flat

we have shown document to hdfc legal department for home loan and they are fine with document.we are really confuse
