Civil & criminal case

(Querist) 02 July 2012 This query is : Resolved
HI :

I need a clarification whether Civil & Criminal cases are bound to be connected or they actually dont depend on submitting any kind of affidavit/documents to either of the courts?.

Note : My dowry case is been closed and my mutual divorce is still due, I wanted to know if we/ my lawyer have to submit any affidavit to the civil court for my divorce decree or are there any chances to prolong my case so that i dont get my divorce ..please advise as iam facing lot of issues from my lawyer as (X) is been demanding us for huge fees apart from the actual amount agreed by my lawyer. At this point of time when things seems to be getting closed i dont foresee to hire any other lawyer ? Please guide me if im wrong on my lines

Many thanks in advance!

Civil and criminal cases are entirely differenct proceedings.

Yes civil and criminal cases have totally different proceeding. Submitting affadavit in civil case will not prolong your divorce case. It will take it due course.
