Is the legal notice mandatory before filing a complaint in consumer forum ?

no , it is not mandatory, but it is preferred. Possibly ur problem get solved with notice only...

No. It is just a chance to the party to settle the issues before tapping the doors of forum.

No,it is optional,but you can send to the seller/service provider if they comply.

No. Unlike the cases under sec.138 of negotiable instrument act, a notice is not mandatory in consumer cases. You can file a case within 2 yeats from cause of action.

It is not mandatory. Notice will be issued before filing complaint to claim the cost.

Rightly advised, though it is optional, but better to send a notice, so that it could well be settled by the other party.

It is not mandatory ,no law requires it but then it is a gentleman business and suggest award of cost in favor of party who invoked attention of opposite party before filing the case.

It is also a proof as to show court that, you redressed your grievance by way of notice to the Adversary.

Since there is a possibility of complying with your requirements on receipt of the notice.

But legally it is not mandatory necessary to issue legal notice.

Just the proof to show the deficiency in service or repudiation of claim is sufficient for filing a complaint.
