Sir/madam , just want to know that we both ( husband&wife)as well as mediator sign the compromise settlement document.in that document they write that we means husband file a mutual devorce petition in the court before the dated 24th march.problem arise when we several time call the women party for sign the petition they not shown interest.when we contact the women cell they told us don’t panic we will call the women party on the dated 23rd march and help u on that matter.is that ok.and my and lastly I want to know after signing the document can any party back out and what will be the effect of this back out.hoping for the speedy reply.thanks

if your wife backs out after filing petition for mutual consent for divorce then court wont award you divorce .

As the mutual divorce petition has yet to be filed so you have no other option but to wait for the free will and accordingly action of your wife and till then you can do nothing but to wait.

Woman cell can play a good role in bringing both parties closer.

Even if your wife do no turn as per MOU, such agreement shall have no value in the eyes of law and you both shall be free to initiate your own action.

If consideration is paid. That is some of the settled amount is paid, then in all likelihood the divorce would be granted.

And as the same agreement is signed in CAW Cell, later the same would not register an FIR
