settlement and conveyance deeds

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 12 November 2011 This query is : Resolved
Will you please enlighten us on the difference between Conveyance Deed and the Settlement Deed. Which one to use When & where.
prabhakar singh (Expert) 12 November 2011
Simply speaking but legally too "Conveyance"
transfers an undisputed all rights of the owner relating to title interest and possession in favor of the purchaser.

As against this in a settlement case all parties have some right title interest and possession but with a dispute who has how much and by settlement they get it resolved.

Then i think it must be clear to you now which one to use where?

In conveyance deed immovable property is transferred but in settlement deed it is not restricted to immovable property.
