Arvind Singh Chauhan (Expert) 21 September 2011
Please go through the Sec 362 Cr.P.C. It can be amended.
PARTHA P BORBORA (Expert) 21 September 2011
Disagree.

No court of Law can amend a Judgment delivered in an open Court. after pronouncement of the Judgment- amendment is prohibited by Section- 362 Cr.P.C.

But the court may change the Judgment before its pronouncement.
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 21 September 2011
Dear Mr. Partha,
There is a great distinction between amending a judgement and rectification of error in a judgment. While what you say is true that a judgment cannot be amended, it is also equally true that any error in the judgment which is apparent on the face of the record is capable of being rectified.
The querist has very clearly indicated that there are some technical mistakes (I think what they are talking about is clerical mistakes). If it is not clerical mistakes but something else then that the same cannot be corrected and rectified.
PARTHA P BORBORA (Expert) 21 September 2011
I support the view of Ex. R.Ramachandran. The clerical error may be rectified.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 21 September 2011
I do agree with Ramachandran.
ajay sethi (Expert) 21 September 2011
