internship/ juniorship

(Querist) 09 July 2011 This query is : Resolved
Sir/ Madam,
i wanted to know is internship and juniorship the same? for how many years we have to do this internship /juniorship after the completion of LLB course?
A V Vishal (Expert) 09 July 2011
The term internship refers to a stage / phase during which an individual gets the opportunity to experience his / her industry of interest before entering into it full time and opting for it as his / her future career field.

Internships are ideal for understanding the way a particular industry functions and what it would be like to work in that scenario. Often, individuals who intern with Companies are able to gain valuable insights into their own personalities and skills. Such an experience puts them in a better situation to decide whether they are suited for a particular role / industry or not.

On the other hand a junior is one who has qualified to pursue his profession, a ‘junior’ means an advocate other than a senior advocate.

There is no legal provisions or rules for juniorship. If you have completed your LL.B. Degree than you can practise directly. Juniorship/internship is only for gaining practical experience of the field.
If you think you are capable to handle the case or matter you can do it your own but i will give you sugetion to handle the matter or case in the supervision of any senior and experienced person.
