Section 340 Cr PC has been devised as a way to prohibit and create a fear in the mind of those who file false documents or give false evidence in the Court of Law.

how to file a case under section aginst wife and her family, is it bailable and how month of punishment under this section if proven wrong.

Under 340 cr.p.c. many offenses covered under the sections of IPC.

By 340 cr.p.c. petition you can not punish the person. The concerned court before which court, the offense was committed,will file the complaint to a different jurisdictional court.

The punishment will be awarded by the Jurisdictional court only.
