E-filing is optional in case of non tax audit individuals and there is no bar on e-filing any return in ITR-1,2,3 which are basically notified for individual & HUF assessees. Note that there is no bar under law for e-filing by the above category of assessees. However the acknowledgeent in ITR-V which is generated on e-filing has to be signed and sent to CPC Bangalore either by speed or ordinary post within 120 days of e-filing incase the acknowledgement is not sent then the e-filing becomes invalid.
