Can an Advocate do Ph.D?

Dear Advocate(s)!

My qualification is M.Com.,M.Phil.,B.L.,

I've completed my M.Phil in Stock Market thereafter B.L.,

I would like to do Ph.D in Commerce faculty.

May I do that?

An Advocate is not allowed to do business or be in anyone's employment. For Pursuing higher education / doing research etc., there is no bar at all.

If Mr.Sudershan is involved in law practice after duly getting the license from Bar Council, University insists for NOC for enrollment to Ph.D which he needs to submit. Otherwise, there is no bar
