Salary deduction on grounds of penalty

Dear All,

One of the person had printed a wrong appointment letter and it was found by the senior. immediately he put a mail to all HR staff except that person who did the mistake.

the mail was,

you all three guys will not be paid salary for this month for this mistake.

this is unethical and also illegal.

now two of us have decided to resign and file a suit against the company if they don't give our settlement.

Please advise!

The can not with hold the salary of other staffs for the mistake of the erring employee. The other can file a suit for recovery of the salary and for this they need not resign.
The Company can not deduct the salary of that employee who made the mistake if the employment agreement does not provide for such option.

WITHOUT ENQUAIRY THE COMPANY CAN NOT WITH HOLD THE SALARY OF AN EMPLOYEE.
