In crpc u/s 125 maintaince can be asked by either spouse
where as Domistic voilence act it restricts the husbend from claiming
ARE THESE QUITE contarary? Which one prevails

NO. in S. 125 CrPC maint. can ONLY BE ASKED by wife, parents and children period.

Under DV Act maint. can be asked by wife, sister, son / daughter as of today may be in near future MIL/ SIL may be allowed by some HC let us wait for further development.

There is no contradiction.
