Deletion of name of one of the owner's in residential prop

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 20 June 2010 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,

We have a house in a coop Hsg Soc in Kandivalai (w), Mumbai. This is in the name of my son (as the first owner ) and my wife (second owner) purchsed in Nov 2007.

We would like to delete our son's name and make the house only in my wife's name.

How to do this ? What is the modality ? What are the implications? In nutshell what are the formalities to be completed?

I will appreciate a reply to do this query.

Best and warm regards.

Respected Sir ,

Many thanks for yr reply.

Please help me as to how to go about it.

(1) Where to file it or register the deed?

(2) Is there any stamp duty payment to be done? If yes how much and where to pay it in Mumbai, considering the flat / house is in Kandivali (w) Mumbai?

(3) How or what information needs to be given to the concerned Coop Hsg Soc at Kandivali (w)?

(4) Will the matter close with the above formalities completed or still something needs to be additionally done ?

Your advice is extremely important and I value the same .

Thanks with warm regards.

1. In the same office of registrar where your registered sale-deed had been executed in 2007.

2. Rs. 50/- in the same office of registrar.

3. Copy of Relinquishment-deed after its execution and registration.

4. Matter ends.
