Annual shareholder's meeting.

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 04 May 2010 This query is : Resolved
All the shareholders are mandatorily to be invited for AGM wherein balance-sheet is to be produced for approval. But if I have never been invited, which could be the consequences ? How should I react to this lack ? ( I want just point out that I am a foiregner shareholder and I don't live in India, but I'm present in the company by travelling everytime I'm requested to )
Thank you once more

The invitation is sent at the last known address of the shareholders and if no such intimation has been sent then a representation can be made to CLB as well as to company and its decisions can be questioned taken in the meeting without your knowledge.

I am agree with Mr. R K M. Section 53 of the Companies Act, 1956(India) provides that a document may be served by the company concerned to its shareholders by sending it by post to the registered address or if he has no registered address in India to the adress within India if any supplied by him to the company. And if the Company does not sent the notice to that address then you may file a suit to the CLB.
