Attestation form

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 30 May 2023 This query is : Resolved
I have resigned from a private job while I was a trainee there. I disclosed this fact with my current employer which is a public service.
But on my attestation form
whether discharged/expelled/withdrawn from any training/institution under the government or otherwise?
I ticked No.
What should I do?
Can it affect my employment?
kavksatyanarayana (Expert) 30 May 2023
Yes. It may affect in future.

What should be my next step ? I didn't suppress any information. I did declare that I resigned from my job when I was a trainee.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 31 May 2023
Not able to agree.

you gave and information that :-

"whether discharged/expelled/withdrawn from any training/institution under the government or otherwise? I ticked No."

given facts so far disclosed) do not in any way lead to any conclusion of having been given a false information or information affecting eligibility.

There is BGV process for public appointments; the extant procedure only provides for police verification as to criminal offences and allegations thereto. As such, the lapse, as posted, is of no consequence.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 03 June 2023
This may not be very serious issue neither it is an offence nor this fact would be considered as material to the employment.
Therefore, you may just wait and watch if there is any development in this regard at any later date and think about the next course of action at that time.
P. Venu (Expert) 07 June 2023
My above suggestion may be read as "There is NO BGV process for public appointments" instead of "There is BGV process for public appointments"
The lapse is regretted.
