Ancestral property

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 19 July 2022 This query is : Resolved
My father was custodian of his deceased mother's property. He sold that in 2003 for his medical expenses, as one of the legal heir i had signed the sale deed, whereas other legal heirs (ALL ARE MajorS) not signed. My father also passed away. What action the other legal heir can initiate on me? Is it a crime on my part?

Your query is incomplete. Your was the custodian of his late mother's property. How many legal heirs of your grandmother? You have signed the sale deed which means you also took the consideration. So the other legal heirs may ask you for the consideration amount for their share. But it is not a crime.

Vague and confusing facts, re-draft and post for consideration and obligation of experts.
It would be better to consult and engage a local prudent lawyer for professional advise and necessary proceeding.
