Poa as treasurer

Can a PoA or a family member of a flat owner become a Treasurer, Secretary, Chairman or commitee member of a co operative housing society?

Your query is not clear. Do you mean that a Power of Attorney Agent or his family member or not? But a flat owner may elect as any Executive Member (either as Chairman etc or EC member).

So there is a lady who is nominated as a Treasurer. However, she is not the owner. The flat is in her husband's name.

Then why not? Her husband is the owner of the flat and so his wife may be.

So can she contest elections and be nominated? Even though she is not the actual owner.?

In my opinion, only members of society can become the managing body of society. You may challenge it before Co. Op. Soc. registrar.
