Foreigner marry indian citizen in punjab

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 29 March 2019 This query is : Resolved
Hello, I am coming to India to get married Anand Karaj, we have been told we can marry under the compulsory marriage act 2012, I have a Apostille "No impediment to marriage" certificate issued from New Zealand, Do i need No objection letter/cerificate as well, if so how do i get it? I cant find it available in New Zealand or is the No impediment to marriage enough and covers single status and No objection?
Thanks in advance for any advice :)

Yes that would be fine for marriage in India along with the passport and Visa copy along with proof of age and address of New Zealand.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 29 March 2019
Your proof of citizen of New Zealand and visitation to India on valid passport and visa are adequate to marry in India.

Thank you both so much, totally sure I don't need ...no objection letter?
Adv Shailendra Deshpande (Expert) 29 March 2019
Your reference with Act is - The Punjab Compulsory of Marriage registration Act 2012 which does not mention about NO Objection Certificate, hence it is not required. Under section 3 & 4 of the Act the registration of marriage is compulsory and Memorandum of Marriage needs to be prepared & submitted to Registrar.
Rightly advised by Experts above for documents, hence you need to carry the required documentary proof and any form of Social Security Number issued by your Govt.
