Magistrate court not executing higher court order

In sec 125 maintenance case district court had ordered to complete the case within 2 months but the the magistrate court is not complying
with the order and is given long dates of 20 _ 25 days . What should be done when magistrate court is reluctant to comply with the orders of higher courts.?

Move higher court complaining against the Magistrate, for taking action against him.

Move to appellate Court/ the Court passed the order for non-compliance of orders passed by Higher Court/ contempt of court as the case may be.

Such directions are only directory; in practice, they remain only in paper. Getting fresh directions would only delay the proceedings further.
