dear sir,

i want to know the format of the vakalatnama to be used for appearing before assessment proceedings of sales tax, income tax etc and not the one for appearing before appelate authorities.

There are lot of format. You can go to any Tax Lawyer and have the format. Otherwise you can go to any Tax Bar Assocition and get the format.

There is a prescribed format for Sales Matters that can be bought from the Sales Tax Practitioner Association office and that you can make necesary changes and can use the same for IncomeTax matters also.
