Making of bonifide himachali certificate

Sir,
I am living in himachal form 18 years after my birth in Shimla,my mother and father both not are himachali but my mom and me and my sister living in himachali from past 20 years before my birth,we live in rented room from past 20 years now I wanted to join Indian army but due to lack of bonifide certificate I can't go for it .please suggest me how to make my himachali certificate. I have a birth certificate issued by municipal corporation. Of Shimla and at present we reside in rented room solan.

Have you approached SDM office to issue bonafied residential certificate? If yes, what was the objection if refused?
