What are the Laws regarding illegally occupying the public roads/passages for personal/private functions in India ?

Had some guidelines/instructions/orders issued by the Supreme court of India for the same ?

No body is allowed to occupy any public passage for any private function . If it is required , in that case permission is required to be sought from local authorities like MC for a limited period and that too after paying some fees. Please see the Municipal act.
