Sir, I am from Hyderabad.the contract is made between client and the web developer for website development i would like to know weather contract drafted on letterhead of web developer company is valid one ? or do i need to attest stamps on it ? If i want to use a stamp paper, how much should be the value of stamp paper in AP state ?

it is better to be executed in a stamp paper though agreement on letter head is very much valid.

Please advise us on what amount stamp paper the agreement should be made.
Do I need to buy the stamp paper or the web developer.

it is not necessary to enter into contract on stamp paper. if you want to execute contract on stamp paper purchase stamp paper in your name or that of developer .value of stamp paper would depend upon stamp act of your state

As per the A.P.State Stamp Act STAMP ACT SCHEDULE ANNEXURE SCHEDULE1-A it is Rs.100/- non-judicial stamp paper. Either you can purchase the stamp in the name of your firm or the web developer can purchase in the name of his firm.
It is better to notarize the agreement - Notary Public are available every where in Hyderabad especially in the court premises.

I agree with experts, it is advisable to get it drafted on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100/- and get it registered with sub-Registrar, (although it is optional).

You have to execute on Rs.100/- Non Judicial Stamp paper by way of Agreement.
You may purchase in your Firm Name or Web Developer Firm name.
As per Indian Stamp Act any Agreement should be executed on Rs.100/- NJ Stamp paper. it is valid stamp duty to execute agreement.
As per Indian Stamp Act if any transaction exceeds Rs.100/- should be registered.
Better to Register before the Sub-Registrar Office to avoid future litigation.
