need to find out whether a registered GPA has been revoked. The GPA had been registered in bangalore sub registrar office. Will RTI help me to get the informaiton about any cancellation deed that has been used to cancel the GPA.
BTW the GPA is regarding a peice of land give out from X to Y to sell it into multiple sites.
Pls let me know the solution.

Sir,
In order to cancel a GPA; [1] a legal notice has to be issued, per registered post, to the person informing of the cancellation of the GPA, [2] Advertisements ,about the cancellation, have to be given in at least two prominent News Papers, one local vernacular language and one English News paper.
The cancellation application, without first following the above procedure, will not help. The cancellation procedure has to be followed after due information to the person who is awarded GPA.
If you want to get any information from the sub-registrar's office, you will have to apply under RTI with full details of name, address and the date of the GPA, however it may not succeed as it appears that you do not know the date of cancellation.

Sir,
You had better approach either of the persons, one who has awarded the GPA or the one who has been awarded the GPA.
If you have been awarded the GPA, then an official letter inquiring about the status of the GPA may solve the problem, in any case a GPA can not be cancelled without giving a written notice.
If, however, you are a third party inquiring about the GPA, a written request to either may solve your problem.
