Whether minimum wages Act applicable to Trust? since the trust office employees are getting salary is it comes under Shops & Establishment minimum Basic + DA ? Pl. clarify .

Minimum wages Act extends to the whole of India and applies to scheduled employments in respect of which minimum rates of wages have been fixed under this act. As per Section 2(g), scheduled employment" means an employment specified in the Schedule, or any process or branch of work forming part of such employment. Under the provisions of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, both Central and State Governments are appropriate Governments to fix, review and revise the minimum wages of the workers employed in the scheduled employments under their respective jurisdictions. Trusts are covered under the act.
