Alimony

(Querist) 21 May 2013 This query is : Resolved
The Family Court has passed the decree order. However my alimony demand draft has an incorrect spelling, hence I am unable to encash the money. Can I resubmit the incorrect DD and request the opposite party to resubmit the DD with correct name?
I am worried as I dont want to submit it personally to the opposite party without the court being involved as I do not trust my husband or in laws. Please suggest if I can revoke the orders that have been passed.

You need to move an application before the family court for this purpose seeking direction to the opposite party to do the needful.

if your name has been correctly mentioned in the decree and mistake has arisen on account on spelling mistake in demand draft oissued by bank simply request your husband to have name corrected in demand draft

As you do not want to personally contact your ex-hubby so better to avail the way of court.
