i have all the mails he sent to me about the pricing of the product,mails about the custom duty charges,mails on the 2nd custom duty charge he ask for, and his bank account details which he sent me at the very start and some messages. so i wanted to know how strong all this supporting document stands infront of the law and how much of compensation can i get in terms of being cheated and how all this cause me mental harassment? and how do i get started? all replies will be very much appreciated. thanx.

This is a clear case of fraud played with you. Lodge a police complaint. FIR is the best option in the given facts. Compensation shall follow.

Probably, you feel that opinions without specifying timings, intervals and context of correspondence between you and the other party would help you to win your case. The amount of claim can be hundreds of crores or may not even be in a few thousands.
You have nowhere stated when the prices were quoted, after how much period you placed the order, when the goods/material was supplied after quotation of prices, whether the supplier mentioned about price change in between or not.
