Mutual consent divorce

(Querist) 26 November 2012 This query is : Resolved
It is regarding provisions for holding counselling activity of one or two petitioners who have submitted petition for divorce under mutual consent.

Considering current technological development over the years, I just wanted to know video calling/ conference features are used for counselling if one of the petitioner request for the same citing valid reason for his inability to present in person? If yes what is the procedure for the same. If not why?

I regret it is still not adopted in India , at least while making reconciliation efforts in divorce proceeding.
The technology can not do away with the personal touch.
You have to be present.

Do not repeat same query.

There is still not such mechanism introduced in Indian Courts so personal presence of both parties is mandatory in such reconciliation efforts.
