R/Sir can a public servent prosecute his colleaque uss 186/332/353 IPC when his colleaque assault him while sitting in office.

Yes. Provided he obtains permission from his boss and head office approval needed for prosecution of concerned persons who indulged.

It depends upon the facts and circumstances of each case. The affected person also can file case before appropriate judicial magistrate of concerned territorial jurisdiction and the court would generally direct the police to conduct investigation and report.

It may be difficult to bring a case and sustain under the social environment as tempers cool down and nobody would be in a position to witness the criminal, if at all, covered the incident.
