(Querist) 11 September 2012 This query is : Resolved
What is the meaning of
(1) "Leading the evidence"
(2) "Opportunity of hearing"
Adv.R.P.Chugh (Expert) 11 September 2012
1. Leading evidence means - giving evidence in court, which is known as the examination in chief. The party who is bringing the evidence to the court, after which the witness is cross examined by the opposite party. This is first done by the Plaintiff/Prosecution and later the defence.

2. Second term is self explanatory.

And this is no place for cryptic academic queries.
R.K Nanda (Expert) 11 September 2012
purely academic query.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 11 September 2012
