I have a doubt regarding plot i thought of purchasing. The total area which were laid out in plots was the Inam land, The real estate people has purchased the land from the farmer(which was atually a Inam land), they made it into unapproved plots and they are selling these plots. The plots was getting registered through sub register office in andhra pradesh.can you please let me know whether it is good to purchase the plot or not?

NO! INAM LANDS DO NOT HAVE FREE MARKETABLE TITLE BUILDER WOULD BE OUT LEAVING MESS UPON BUYERS.
INAMLAND IS TAKEN AS GRANT AND CAN BE SOLD ONLY WHEN STATE HAS GIVEN PERMISSION TO SALE.
CONSULT A LOCAL CIVIL/REVENUE LAWYER.

INAM LANDS CASE BEFORE SC
1979 amending act takes away jurisdiction of DC to confer occupancy rights over inam lands and gives to Land Tribunal. In case of Shri Kudli Sringeri Mahasamsthanam Kudli case Reported in ILR 1992 Kar 1827 Division Bench of KHC while dealing with issue of religious and charitable imams struck down the amending act. The issue was settled by Supreme Court by partially overruling the order stating that the personal and misceleneous imams are not affected by such order.
