Yes, Of course you take plea of limitation as per section 43(1).

Section 43(1) in The Arbitration Act, 1940 1
(1) The Court shall issue the same processes to the parties and witnesses whom the arbitrator or umpire desires to examine as the Court may issue in suits tried before it.

Correction required in post of Shri Sankar Narayanan:-

Read Arbitration and Conciliation act 1996 instead of the Arbitration Act, 1940

Yes it can be taken but it has to be taken like a suit at the first possible opportunity i.e at the time of filing written objection.
