Not advisable without any agreement to purchase. The party may be having intention to sell the property to some other party with huge profit without your knowledge during the agreement period.
You can ask the party to see whatever document he wants to see in your presence. If he has to show to some other party, may be his client, ask him to bring him in your presence.

Yes the buyer can be check it through your sale deed's registration number. More over you can give the copy of your sale deed. There will not arise any problem.

It is difficult be be agree with experts on this issue. Why to think always negative. In general there is no harm in supplying photocopies of those documents to proposed buyer for making enquiries. Without having copies of ownership documents, no fruitful enquiry can be made about their authenticity and validity. A buyer is expected to be vigil on all counts.
Can one may not conclude that the documents shown in the house of the seller are forged if copies of those are not supplied for verification?

A buyer is under duty to enquire about genuineness of your title you propose to sale him, providing him a photo copy of sale deed or map is not going to hamper any right of yours. However ,if you are septic you can furnish details of sale and map, they are public documents and any number of certified copies can be applied for.
