Dear Sir, My father bequeathed his property through an unregistered WILL. Can I get N number of certified copies of that unregistered WILL as a back up measure so that I need not panic if the original unregistered WILL gets lost.

Dear Sir, I mean can the document be registered or recorded in any government office or any recognized agency so that the document can be retreived if the original is lost due to circumstances beyond our control.

Oh sorry sir.. Yes if that will is genuine will mean you can file a declaration suit before court of law.. You have to prove your father's signature By the two witness people who are already signed in that subject will..

If there is any problem to prove that by the witness.. I mean in some circumstances witness peoples may be expired.. In this situation you can ball for any govt records if any, which will be with your father's signature..

You can register the WILL and get the certified copy also.

If the testator s alive then he can exectye another Will and get that registered. If he is no more then the executor of the beneficiary of the Will can apply for Probate and once that is done he can get a certified copy of the same Will as well.
