rental issue

Dear sir, Iam vijay, i was in a house for seven months for rent and paid 30,000 rs as advance in the begining. when i left the house the house owner returned me just 13,000 rs from my advance , citing various false reasons.iam deeply hurt by this. my house owner is also a women lawyer , as i have lost my rental agreement copy iam not able to do any thing. please guide me sir? with regards vijay

well if you are not having any proof then there is no need to indulge into litigation.

Have you kept any Receipt towards payment of refundable advance as well as Details of deduction effected out of your advance by the landlady in writing at the time of vacating the tenanted premises. In such an event , it may be possible to make out a case for seeking refund of the illegal refund taking assistance of an experienced civil lawyer.

i would like to thank you all for the reply. she is a cheat sir, i enquired now other neigbhours the shocking news is that she cheated two members previously.

as a common man i would like to konw what are the legal formalities that a tenant & house owner should follow.
