A fake FIR has been filed against my husband. The FIR has been lodged by a police constable. Through several RTIs we have collected the substantiate information to show that the FIR is fake.

I will appreciate some information on the following. Whom should we approach to close the FIR based on our findings? Who has the power to close the FIR?

Police can file final report after investigation, if find that FIR is fake and your husband is innocenct. If you don't rely on police you must approach to High court under 482 Cr.P.C. with all collected material in your favour, for quashing FIR.

IF U HAVE DOCUMENTRY PROOF MUST MAKE APPLICATION TO SR. POLICE OFFICER TO FOR INVESTIGATION IN FAKE CASE. AND ASLO APROCH TO THE CONCRN HIGH COURT. THQAT IS THE ONLY WAY.

I agree with Mr. Arunagiri.
instead of making any complaint to any officer, directly move the high court under section 482 for quashing of FIR.
