Attempt to suicide

My friend’s husband made attempt to suicide but he is out from danger now. He has given his statement before police that due to her wife’s raff and characterless nature he attempted to suicide. whether there may be chance police arrest the wife or wife should get anticipatory bail.

As the wife of the victim didn't instigate him to commit suicide so she is not guilty rather the effort to commit suicide is a criminal offence and thus husband is liable to be prosecuted in the given facts.

Yes! your wife may be arrested under section 306 IPC on the ground of abetment to suicide and she may seek anticipatory bail.
