I was manhandled for taking pictures of unlawful
Religious festival , police is supporting other side by saying you provoked them by taking pictures and hence the mob attacked you. Not registering FIR against them, on top of that they implicated me in false case, FIR is filed against me...kindly help...thankyou
malipeddi jaggarao (Expert) 26 August 2014
If you are so concerned about noise pollution, you should inform the concerned SHO, but you cannot take law into your hand. Religious processions are attached with sentiments and if they know that photos are being taken for the purpose to prove the activity unlawful, they will also take the law into their hands as you have taken. You say that police is supporting them, that means they might have obtained the permission. A social activist should be bold enough to face the consequences. I advise you to face the consequences instead of rushing advice.

Agree with the expert malipeddi jaggarao.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 26 August 2014
Agreeing with Mr Jaggarao, I will add that police is right.

Every violator (including police) is bound to be provoked by someone taking evidence of his crime.

Did they have police permission.

Agree with experts, well advised, nothing more to add.
As a RTI activist, you can seek information for feeding to proceed against such persons involved in unlawful activities, if you are sucessful in obtaining informations.
For the sake of my knowledge can you throw some light on the statement, inter alia, "the religious festival was unlawful"
P. Venu (Expert) 28 August 2014
You have not brought out the complete facts. Even otherwise please do not expect a smooth passage while chartering a course against vested interests!

The whistle blowers are not protected on our country. The RTI activists fall prey to the political and mafias pressures. I understand that you want to bring to light the lawful activities going on in the name of religious sentiments/gatherings, but as an individual, you may have to face stiff challenges, better gather like minded people and go ahead with your mission.
ABDUL RAZIQUE (Expert) 31 August 2014
Absolutely right T.K. Sir.
