Recovery of money from friend

Hi,
I had booked air ticket for my friend while he was travelling to Sharjah from mumbai using my credit card & my email.

It is possible to recover the money from him as I don't have written proof?

What I can provide is the same ticket where mentioned that the ticket is booked under my credit card.

Is that possible?

first send legal notice to him to refund ur money.

First ask him to pay. If he refuses, send him a legal notice. Then file a suit for recovery of money.
Keep the credit card bill, e-mail all safely. Strong evidence in the court of law.
And
Dont and never book again anyone's ticket on your credit card in future...

money given/spent for friends/brother/sister/ cousine/uncle/aunt/nephew niece of self and spouse are basically charity.

This money if not promptly refunded is practically non-recoverable. Many Armed Forces persons buy marriage gifts from CSD for relative and at times not paid.

Now you have to file civil suit, after bearing advocate fee + stationary charges + photocopy charges + court fee proportionate to cost of suit + travel and telephone expneses etc

Practically the cost of recovery will be sufficient as compared to amount involved, and if time spent is counted it would be more than the amount to be recovered.

Shri Mane,

issue notice, but write a simple letter/ SMS/ E Mail demanding your amount, and note his reply first. It may serve your purpose. Claim that you booked ticket on his instruction, and his promise to reimburse your money to you within a months!!

All experts are right. First demand from your friend and tell him that u are holding the evidence. I hope it will give positive result.
