Registration requirement for cancellation deed

Deed of Cancellation of UNREGISTERED Original Instrument of Transfer executed by both the original executors with mutual consent requires registration or not ? Please advise.

If the original deed of transfer registered, then cancellation of it shall be registered.

Thanks expert KAVK Satyanarayna, the original deed of transfer is not registered.

If you wish to register it and go to registrar office, then the amount of stamp duty on the First instrument will be collected with penalty and then only action will be taken on cancellation deed.
