sir, my husband is sailing and the place we are at is for sale, he has given me POWER OF ATTORNY TO carry out what is needed in his absence. I need to know if its ok to look at housing loans on behalf of him and sign on belhaf of him etc. Also once the sale goes thro can i sign off on all papers pertaining to the sale ?

If sale power has been given in GPA then you can definitely use that document but so far as signing on loan papers on behalf of Principal is concerned, it is the prerogative of bank/financial institution. In my view, bank shall not allow you.

I agree with what Mr.Raj kumar Makkad says in this regards

You see that in the POA given to you by your husband that it relates to performance of act to sale and others things in relating to your property in question.
