Calculation of imprisionment

My friend got sentenced for 10 years and one year punishment . He was jailed on 1 january 2012. Judgement says he will serve this two punishments concurrently. I want to know about holidays a prisioner gets. nd how much time is remained of the punishment(my lawyer said prisioners get 2 month leave every year i.e 20 months for 10 years will be deduced from 10 year punishment) is it true...

Instead Of worrying about holidays advise your friend to behave very well in the Prison.

If your Friend's Conduct is good he could be released before 'the completion of punishment period also. .

There is no such options of adjusting the holidays not taken with the punishment period.

If he is in jail for the last 6 years (as you said arrested in 2012) then by now he may be well enlightened on this aspect better than anyone outside.
