Job leaving notice period .

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 02 June 2018 This query is : Resolved 
Dear Sir,
myself working with MNC, at Mumbai for more than 9 year, we got 1 month notice period in offer letter while leaving job willingly. jut now our HR get signed 1 page letter from us for 1 month termination clause replaced with 3 month. (
clause as "By either party hereto giving 3 (Three) month’ notice in writing or payment of salary in lieu of notice"
My query 1) it is officially correct to change termination period from 1 month to 3 month without consent to us 2) If i serve 1 month notice as per appointment can they hold my current month salary of one month & deduct 1 month equal charges from my PF,GRATUITY ,LTA MEDICAL ETC. or absolutely don't have any right to hold any dues if i serve 1 month notice

Employer reserves the right to unilaterally change the terms and conditions of employment.
So your Management's unilateral replacement of 1month salary or 1 month notice with 3 months notice or 3 months salary in lieu there off is within the rights of Management and a permissible rule.
