Stop divorce procedding

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 03 August 2017 This query is : Resolved
My brother has filed a divorce petition with mutual consent with his wife on superfluous grounds. Is it acceptable in court of law. None of them is willing to talk to family member. Is there any legal action to stop the process?

Mutual Consent means both the parties that is husband and wife both jointly agree/accept for divorce. Both could be represented by one Lawyer and mutual consent divorce could be completed in 6 month with two hearing attended by both.If at all the Court refers the matter to mediation and if they both insist they need only divorce there would be no complication and the MCD would be completed in 6 month,What is the issue that you are stating.MCD could be applied only if they both jointly agree.

However, why are you so much worried and eager to spoil married life of your brother?
