Ammendment to leave and license agreement

This is regarding leave and license agreement made in Mumbai. I am the licensee. I am leaving the premises before the lock in period and getting a replacement in place pf me. Licensor has made an ammendment to the registered agreement saying that he will deduct 1month's rent from my deposit. He wants the addendum to be registered. And wants the new girl to make a new leave and license agreement.
Is it necessary to get the addendum registered again? If yes, what is the procedure?

Not necessary. if both parties agree they can and get it be registered and the stamp duty is less. consult the document writer of your area as the stamp duties are vary from state to State.

Yes.. it is necessary to register the amended agreement. Visit the office of the sub-registrar nereby.
