Manual correction in stamp duty

(Querist) 06 August 2016 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,

I am stuck in a very different stage, please help me.

I have done a sale deed on 11th August for a 2 BHK Flat in Vadodara.

All the arrangements were done by builder and I went there just to sign.

After 2-3 days when I got the Sale deed in my hand, I found that E-stamp was having some manual correction. Whitener was used on Name, Address, & amount.

What was happened actually is mentioned below.

Stamp duty collector has by mistake paid stamp duty twice on single name and did not pay on my name.

He took the print out, manually corrected using whitener and finally stamped and signed as correction deed.

When I tried to check the name of Stamp duty payer on website, I found that the name is different as per certificate number.

Neither Sub-Registrar nor Deputy collector checked the same and sale deed was done.

I hope you understand my concern.

Stamp duty was paid by builder but it went in someone else’s account and stamp was corrected manually.

Let me know how to proceed further.

My contact no. is 7600050099

Apply to the designated authority for rectification of the mistake in the online record. Their software adviser must be able to do the same.

If it is not possible, approach court for declaration and orders.
