Denial of certified copies of police complaint

(Querist) 06 August 2016 This query is : Resolved
In divorce case I had confronted wife with certified copies of police complaint and statements given by her at the police station. Wife has denied that she has given the same in her cross.
Now will these certified copies be considered rather have any value as a evidence by the court ?
adv.bharat @ PUNE (Expert) 06 August 2016
yes it can be considered as evidence.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 07 August 2016
let the witness deny even her birth certificate as well.

at the mos the said police officer can be called as witness to testify that she gave the statement because generally police does not seek signature of the witness.

Statement given at the police station may not be accepted by the court till it is supported by the person who made the statement / supported through other witness.
