rti application to wrong application

Namste, I am working as college clerk in small orgazination. one mental student (it's real thing,his parents also know ) filed RTI against me. despite I am not concerned authority, but college admin given instruction to me give answer. 30 days are over. now what i should do? he is harassing me. If he will go appeal i will go there with my money. please guide me. and thanks to all lawerclubindia team.

The query is absolutely vague.

what is the information?
is the information a public record or any information in your private custody?

If the information is not attracted by Section 8 of the RTI Act you have to give. Giving fine is no escape from the formation.

Are you aware of the fine?

It is Rs 250 per day after 30 days and maximum is Rs 25000/-.

Whether your college is Government institution?

If institution is Government body / covered under RTI and the information is ready dispatch the same through PIO of the institution.
