Does CIBIL have any time period. Do they clear yor record as defaulter, after some year even if you do not settle with the bank.

Check with CIBIL.

CIBIL only shows the information received from Banks and Institutions, it itself does not declare defaulter or otherwise.

The information reflected in CIBIL report is based on the information received from the financial institutions. Any error may be reported to CIBIL but to authenticate the same, the financial institution only has to clarify the details, until then the adverse report will continue to remain with CIBIL
